Bridal Makeup Breakdown

SKIN

To start off I moisturised the skin using Eve Lom Rescue Oil Free Moisturiser, It's a super light liquid lotion to effectively hydrate the skin, refines pores, reduces redness and creates a shine-free base perfect for underneath makeup.

I then prepared the under eye area by applying a few dots of Youth to the people Age Prevention Superfood Eye Cream, It's rich in antioxidants to instantly hydrate and visibly firms the under eye area.

To add extra hydration as my client's skin type was relatively normal I sprayed the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief.

Lastly to marinate the lips, I use the Aquaphor Healing Ointment.

EYES

Using the P.Louise Base eyeshadow primer, I applied this product all over the top of her lids, this helps create a blank canvas for eyeshadow to stick on better and to appear a lot more vibrant.

The first colour I used is MAC Saddle eyeshadow, this is applied in her crease as her transition shade. On the lids I wanted something a little more sparkly but still keeping the bronze tones, I used the Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow in DGAF. I then applied a very fine liner on her top lash line, leaving out the inner corners and only doing a line straight across using the Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Pot Liner.

For her lashes I first applied a thin coat of mascara using the Benefit Cosmetics BADGal Bang Mascara to add volume and as she wanted fluffy and dramatic looking lashes, I used Desire Lashes in the style Naomi.

BASE

For her foundation I mixed 2 different foundations: NARS Sheer glow in the shade Syracuse and Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation in the shade 3.2

I used 2 concealers, the first was MECCA MAX Life Proof Cream Concealer in Sand, this shade was a little darker which helps to counteract any purple or blue tones first and then I applied a lighter concealer to highlight the under eye area and I used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard.

To set the concealer and to bake I applied a thick layer of the Ben Nye Cameo Bella Luxury Powder, and then to set the rest of the face I used the Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in the shade Medium Tan.

Cheeks and Lips

To bronze up the skin I used the Milani Baked Bronzer in Soleil, I applied this with a large fluffy brush on her forehand, cheeks and jawline to warm up the skin. Then for blush I applied the Tarte Tarteist Blush Palette, I think this might be discontinued or it may have been limited edition as I cannot find it anywhere online, sorry guys!

To highlight the skin I mixed 2 different highlighters: OFRA Cosmetics Highlighter in Glazed Donut and Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder Precious Petals. The Glazed Donut is quiet white and the Precious Petals is like a muted gold, alone they are not that great but together they make the most perfect shade of highlighter for any skin tone!

Lastly on her lips, I used 2 lip liners MAC Whirl and Edge to Edge and mixed 3 lipsticks MAC Velvet, Modesty and Creme Cup. I always end up mixing lipsticks as each client has their own personal preference to what shade they like,  so I work with them to create the perfect shade they are looking for.
